Your rights as an applicant

Onrolo powers the career site you applied through. The hiring organisation is the data controller for your application; Onrolo acts as a processor on their behalf, under our Data Processing Agreement. The full details of how your personal data is handled are in our Privacy Notice.

How automated screening works

Some hiring organisations use Onrolo's AI screening to help them assess applications. If your application is screened by AI, you'll be told when the screening invitation is sent (by email, SMS, or WhatsApp) — not at the application stage.

A human recruiter reviews any AI score before a decision is made. AI never auto-rejects candidates without human review.

Request a human review

Under UK GDPR Article 22(3) and Article 15, you have the right to:

  • Ask for human review of any automated decision that significantly affects you.
  • Receive a meaningful explanation of how the decision was made.
  • Contest the decision and express your point of view.

Contact us at privacy@onrolo.ai with your application reference (in your application or screening invite email). We'll forward your request to the hiring organisation if appropriate, or handle it directly where Onrolo is involved in the decision.

Other data rights

You also have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent (where consent is the legal basis we rely on). See the Privacy Notice for full details, or email privacy@onrolo.ai.
